As a full time mom and a part time employee, dabbling in arts and crafts has always been a pleasure that was seldom enjoyed. However, as my children grow older, I find myself with more time to experiment and refine techniques with different media. My crafting creations quickly came to include chokers when my husband supplied me with a sewing machine and a basket full of ribbons.
When my curiosities drew me towards polymer clay, a medium that I have not touched in several years, I applied the same curious mentality toward it. From this, I developed a mixed media coloring technique that includes paint, metallic mica, and liquid clay.
After making my own knick-knacks for quite a while, my husband began to encourage me to make jewelry to sell. I was dubious at first, but he was persistent and the more I looked into it, the more I decided that it might be worth the try.
I enjoy creating different types and styles of pendants and charms, so there is sure to be a variety that will be put up for sale. For ease, I do at times work with molds that I have created, but for the most part I will not color two pendants in the same way.
